No – we supply all of the equipment that is required for the course. You only need to bring yourself.
The training will be carried out both Indoors and outdoors. The open course page will indicate where the training will be conducted. If you are outdoors, please ensure you dress appropriately.
Unfortunately no. The coursework will be available on the morning of the course. You must have started the course to receive the coursework materials.
No not really, but please make sure you follow the dress code.
Clothing – Not baggy, Ideally, thin warm layers
Hair – If it can go into a ponytail, please make sure it goes into a ponytail. Hairbands are required.
Injuries – Please let the tutor know on the morning of the course if you have any issues with upper or lower body that you think will hinder/stop you shooting. It is a strength and endurance activity after all.
Piercings – Please remove from the waist up. Exceptioons Stud or small ring in ear.
Shoes – Closed covered shoes to be worn on the range at all times.
No, you do not need to complete any pre-course work. No previous archery knowledge is required, though it may be an advantage.
You will be taught how to take a basic have-a-go/taster archery session. selecting equipment, setting up a range, adaptation.
The new course is run over two days rather than the previous 4-day course. Also, the new course only teaches “point of aim” shooting and does not
include “sighted” shooting. There is no maintenance of equipment taught on the Instructor award.
The qualification lasts for 12 months. At which point it will need to be
